Tree Editor is an app for drawing trees and exporting them to other formats. It has three main modes:

• Grow: Chilren can be added to existing nodes by clicking or dragging.
• Prune: Nodes can be reordered and repositioned by dragging them. A subtree can be deleted by dragging it above its parent.
• Zoom: Dragging a box will zoom the view to its contents.

Pan & Zoom

In Grow and Prune mode you can scroll anywhere on the canvas to zoom and drag on the empty canvas to pan the view.

Keyboard Shortcuts

Press 1,2 or 3 to quickly switch mode. Holding SHIFT will enable Zoom mode temporaily. Pressing Space will Zoom the view so it fits the tree.

Layout

By default the tree is laid out automatically. The layout can be adjusted by modifying the sibling and level distance in the option panel. By turning off the automatic layout, nodes can be freely positioned by dragging them in Prune mode.

Export

The displayed tree can be exported to PNG, TikZ, Euler string or an URL.
